This campaign began when a few of the members of the Massachusetts Coalition to Save Darfur became aware of Fidelity's large holdings in oil companies operating in Sudan - they have been joined by large, growing numbers of concerned citizens and Darfur activists from around the country, in a national campaign. International Energy Companies Provide an Economic Lifeline for the Government of Sudan PDF Print E-mail

In an article for the Responsible Investor Scott Wisor, of the Sudan Divestment Task Force, accused firms like China National Petroleum Corporation, Oil and Natural Gas Company of India, and Petronas of Malaysia of providing an economic lifeline for the genocidal Sudanese regime.
