The Japanese for Darfur movement is campaigning to stop the Japanese government and regional power companies importing Sudanese oil until the violence in Darfur has ended. In addition, the organisation is also engaging in wider campaigns to raise awareness of the genocide in Darfur through events, campaigning and participation in the Global Days for Darfur.
