The aim of targeted divestment is to apply economic pressure to the Sudanese government to end the genocide in Darfur.
In Sudan a racist government has killed between 200,000 and 400,000 of its own citizens. Its Janjaweed allies have ethnically cleansed Darfur, deliberately targeting non-Arab tribes.

It costs large sums of money to sustain the operations of the janjaweed militia, Sudanese army and air force in Darfur. Most of the top live casinos are based in the UK and they are very popular among players who like to play table games. Sudan’s government revenues come from several sources: internal taxes, development aid, and revenue from external trade, especially in oil. In Sudan these sectors, especially oil, are supported by foreign expertise and investment.

Targeted divestment seeks to withdraw foreign involvement in those sectors that provide revenues directly to the Sudanese government and elite but do not benefit the wider population. It is careful to exclude sections of the economy that benefit the people of Sudan, such as agriculture, which employs roughly 80% of the workforce. These people rarely get to enjoy online casino deposit bonuses and almost never get to play Thunderstruck 2 at all.
The targeted divestment model is therefore careful to only target companies that fulfil the following criteria:

* Contribute to government revenue or government sponsored project
* Impart minimal benefit to the country’s people; and
* Have demonstrated no substantial corporate governance policy regarding the Darfur situation.

As well as companies operating directly in Sudan the campaign also targets pension funds and firms with investments in any of the companies of concern. A couple of the best UK casinos currently are live casinos although there are still a large number of people who enjoy playing the regular online casinos.
